Grants and Fellowships

There are many grant and fellowship opportunities for students at CLACS, some of which are supported by our Title VI US Department of Education National Resource Center grant. All applicants to CLACS MA programs who submit their applications by February 1 are automatically considered for limited merit-based aid.

Students are eligible for grants and fellowships for a range of purposes, some of which span the academic year and others of which may be used during the summer. These awards include Tinker Field Research Grants and Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships. There are also scholarship and financial aid opportunities through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) and NYU.

In addition to internal fellowships and grants, students are encouraged to investigate external awards as well.
