Caribbean Initiative

The CLACS-NYC Caribbean Institute was launched in 2009 as a material and virtual resource to promote regional training and outreach related to the peoples and countries of the Caribbean. The Institute draws upon the depth of expertise among CLACS Affiliated Faculty across the NYU campus, current research at various higher education institutions in New York City, as well as a vibrant community of Caribbeanists in New York City. The newly consolidated Caribbean Institute will bring together faculty, students, research, academic debate, and outreach resources through courses, events, and useful information published on this website. It will also host colloquia and conferences.
